Budhay - Comedy Theater Play by Dawar Lashari

BUDHAY by Dawar Lashari

Get ready for BUDHAY, a laugh-out-loud Urdu comedy that brings the charm of classic PTV sitcoms together with the wit and irreverence of Gen Z digital humour. Packed with eccentric characters, hilarious situations, and sharp comic timing, this is a theatrical experience that promises to have audiences laughing across generations.

Featuring a dynamic ensemble of Arzu Fatima, Sikander Nawaz, Moiz Nawaz, Meerab Hussain, and Hassan Jamil aka Jimmy Boy, BUDHAY brings together some of Pakistan's biggest digital personalities for a first-of-its-kind influencer-led theatre production. With no single lead, the spotlight belongs to the entire ensemble, where every character brings their own flavour to the story and every interaction has the potential to turn into a comedic moment worth remembering.

Expect witty Urdu dialogues, larger-than-life characters, unexpected twists, and situations that spiral into absolute madness. BUDHAY takes the familiar rhythms of everyday life and turns them into a theatrical comedy of errors, where every exchange has a punchline and every character has a story worth watching. Whether you're a theatre enthusiast or simply looking for a night of entertainment, this is your invitation to experience comedy live, where the laughter is contagious and the fun is best shared.

For Dawar Lashari, theatre has always been a passion that has brought him back to the stage time and again, through productions including Blood Brothers, Date Night, and Birdcage. With BUDHAY, Dawar continues his journey of bringing compelling live experiences to Pakistani audiences, this time with an ensemble that reflects a new generation of performers and a fresh take on Urdu comedy.
